Obverse description Red and rose on multicolour underprint, with intricate guilloche lathe-work framing all four sides. At right, an intaglio portrait of General José de San Martín is accompanied by his name inscribed below the vignette, while the denomination appears in large numerals over an elaborate guilloche rosette at centre, surmounted by the issuing authority name.
