Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms — a shield divided into three segments depicting a key, a rising sun over a seascape, and a royal palm flanked by landscape — is centered within a five-pointed star set against a plain field. A wreath of laurel and oak branches frames the lower half of the design, flanking the central motif. The arc legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA curves along the upper periphery, while BANCO NACIONAL DE CUBA is inscribed in a secondary arc just within it. The denomination 100 PESOS appears in bold relief across the lower field.

Reverse description The central field features a dynamic figural composition depicting revolutionary combatants in military dress, rendered in high relief. Two prominent figures in the foreground gesture forward with outstretched arms, evoking the spirit of triumph, while armed soldiers and civilian faces emerge behind and below them. A small key symbol and a star appear above the group, just beneath the date 1988 in the upper field. The legend TRIUNFO DE LA REVOLUCION arcs along the upper border, interrupted by bullet separators, while ORO FINO is inscribed at the left and 0.999 at the right. The commemorative date range 1959-1989 and the weight designation 1 OZ. are inscribed along the lower border.
