| Obverse description | The obverse features the Mexican national coat of arms in the silver centre, depicting a Mexican golden eagle perched on a cactus growing from a rocky islet, grasping a serpent in its beak and talons, rendered in high relief with fine detail. Flanking the central device in the aluminium bronze ring are stylised oak and laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon. The legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS arcs along the upper portion of the ring in raised Latin lettering, and a decorative beaded border frames the inner silver field. |
