Reverse description The gold centre field depicts a detailed frontal view of the Teatro Macedonio Alcalá in Oaxaca, a neoclassical opera house of notable architectural distinction, with its ornate façade rendered in fine relief. The denomination $100 appears in the upper left of the gold field, while the date 2007 is inscribed in the upper right. The state name OAXACA is lettered prominently along the upper arc of the silver outer ring in raised Latin characters. The inscription TEATRO MACEDONIO ALCALÁ curves along the lower arc of the silver ring, identifying the featured monument. The mint mark Mo appears on the reverse field, denoting striking at the Mexico City Mint.
