| Obverse description | The silver centre features the Mexican national arms in high relief: an eagle displayed facing left, perched upon a prickly pear cactus growing from a rocky outcrop, grasping a serpent in its beak and talons. The motif is rendered in fine detail consistent with the standard coat of arms design. The aluminium bronze outer ring bears the circular legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS along the upper arc, with a laurel-and-oak branch garland tied with a ribbon at the base. |
