| Obverse description | The Mexican national coat of arms occupies the silver centre field, depicting a Mexican golden eagle with wings displayed and head turned left, perched on a prickly pear cactus growing from a rocky outcrop, devouring a serpent in its beak and talons. An olive branch and an oak branch, tied at the base, flank the base of the cactus. The outer aluminium bronze ring bears the curved legend 'ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS' along the upper arc in raised letters. |
