Obverse description At left, an intaglio-engraved allegorical vignette of a seated classical female figure holding a scroll and resting her arm upon a terrestrial globe, set within a dark guilloche border. The bank title 'El Banco Español Filipino' is rendered in ornate script across the upper centre, above the denomination tablet 'CIEN PESOS' framed in scrollwork, with the legend 'PAGARÁ AL PORTADOR' below. To the right, a circular red typographed seal of the Banco Español Filipino is applied, alongside the date '1.o Enero, 1908' and the place of issue 'Manila, P.I.', with signature lines for El Presidente and El Cajero at the foot.

Reverse description Printed entirely in olive-green, the reverse centres on an elaborate intaglio vignette composed of symmetrical scrollwork, laurel branches, and classical column motifs framing a bold rectangular cartouche with the denomination 'CIEN PESOS'. The bank name is split across the lower register as 'ESPAÑOL' and 'FILIPINO' flanking a central ornamental device, while 'EL BANCO' appears at the top. Denomination numerals '100' are repeated in each corner within guilloche panels, and a dense lathe-work border frames the entire design.
