Obverse description The central vignette presents an intaglio-printed bust of a taruca (Hippocamelus antisensis, North Andean deer) in violet-purple tones, occupying the lower centre of the note, with a smaller vignette of the full animal in green at upper right. An orange and yellow floral vignette appears at lower left, while a multicolour underprint of stylised wildflowers in pink, blue and purple covers the field.
