| Obverse description | The obverse displays the Mexican national coat of arms at centre, depicting a Mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus growing from a rocky outcrop, devouring a serpent clasped in its beak and right talon. The eagle is rendered in fine detail with outstretched wings. A wreath of oak and laurel branches frames the lower portion of the device. The circular legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, enclosed within a continuous beaded border. |
