Obverse lettering CONVERTIBLES EN ORO CONFORME A LA LEY BANCO CENTRAL DE CHILE 100 CIEN PESOS DIEZ CONDORES 20 de Enero de 1943. TALLERES DE ESPECIES VALORADAS. SANTIAGO, CHILE
(Translation: Convertible on gold, according to the Law. Central Bank of Chile One Hundred Pesos Ten Condores January 20, 1943.)
Reverse description Red overall with a complex guilloche underprint. A large numeral "100" vignette occupies the left portion within an ornate rosette frame, while a circular black intaglio bank seal of the Banco Central de Chile is applied at center; a plain white oval guilloche medallion appears at right. The issuer name "BANCO CENTRAL DE CHILE" runs along the top border and "CIEN PESOS" along the bottom, with denomination numerals repeated at all four corners.
