| Obverse description | At center, a stylized profile effigy of a seated rabbit facing right, rendered in polished relief against a colorized background depicting blooming plum blossom branches on a purple and burgundy field occupying the right half of the coin. The Macau Monetary Authority has issued lunar new year commemoratives in large-format silver since the 1980s, but the 2011 rabbit issue belongs to the second full cycle of the series — the first cycle having begun in 1984.
