| Obverse description | Central field features a finely detailed standing figure of A-Ma (Mazu), the Chinese sea goddess and patron deity of Macau, depicted in full imperial robes with an elaborate crown, holding a ceremonial object in her right hand. Stylized cloud or wave motifs appear to the right of the figure in the mirror-polished field. The denomination '100 圓 PATACAS' is inscribed to the left in the lower field, with the Chinese characters '中國澳門' (China Macau) arranged vertically in the upper left. The legend 'MACAU CHINA' curves along the lower border in Latin script. |
