| Obverse description | Intaglio portrait of Governor João Maria Ferreira do Amaral in military uniform within an oval vignette at right, set against an intricate guilloche underprint in brown tones. The denomination CEM PATACAS is inscribed in large letters at centre, with Chinese characters 壹百圓 below, flanked by numeral 100 in the lower corners.
