Obverse description A finely detailed high-relief depiction of a prowling tiger facing left, rendered in the traditional Chinese brush-painting style, occupies the central field. The animal strides above a ground of bamboo shoots and leaves, conveying power and naturalistic movement. The cyclical stem-branch characters 庚寅 (Gengyin, denoting the Year of the Tiger) appear to the right in the field. The legend 中華民國九十九年 (Republic of China, Year 99) curves along the upper periphery in Chinese characters, while 中央銀行 (Central Bank) is inscribed along the lower periphery. The proof surfaces present a sharp frosted design against a mirror-polished field.
