Reverse description	A sweeping panoramic vignette of Damascus occupies the central register, with minarets and domed rooftops rendered in fine intaglio against a pale sky. Large ornate incense burners with stylised rising steam flank the cityscape on both sides within intricate guilloche cartouches. The legend CENT LIVRES appears in bold letterpress at top centre, surmounted by the issuing authority title and accompanied beneath by a redemption clause specifying payment in cheque on Paris or Marseille at the rate of twenty francs per livre.
