Obverse description Left-facing effigy of King Vittorio Emanuele III, rendered in high relief with fine portraiture detail. The king is depicted in a plain truncated bust without regalia, consistent with the austere style favored under the Fascist regime. The engraver's name A. MOTTI appears below the neck truncation. A Latin legend encircles the bust along the rim, identifying the ruler and his title as King of Italy.

Reverse description A prominent upright fasces — the Fascist symbol of authority — dominates the center of the reverse field, its axe head surmounted by a ram's head finial, the bundle of rods bound with straps in fine relief. To the left, the denomination LIRE 100 is inscribed on two lines above the Rome Mint mark R. To the right, two dates appear: OTTOBRE 1922, commemorating the March on Rome that brought Mussolini to power, and 1923, the year of issue. The design serves as a commemorative issue marking the first anniversary of the Fascist regime.
