Additional information

San Marino's 100 Lire issues of the 1990s were struck under a long-standing agreement with Italy's Zecca in Rome, which physically produced the coins on San Marino's behalf. By 1994, the republic was less than a decade from abandoning the lira entirely — euro adoption came in 2002, and the entire late-lira series was rendered obsolete almost immediately, leaving many issues with negligible circulation histories.
