Obverse description Central depiction of the three towers of San Marino (Guaita, Cesta, and Montale) atop Monte Titano, rendered in fine relief against a lightly striated field. The word LIBERTAS appears on a ribbon or scroll at the base of the fortifications. The circular legend REPUBBLICA DI SAN MARINO runs along the upper periphery, with small decorative stops flanking the lettering at the lower rim.

Reverse description A barn swallow (Pan swallow) in dynamic flight occupies the upper portion of the field, depicted in stylised relief above an outline map of western Europe. The denomination L.100 is inscribed in large characters across the centre of the field, with the mint mark R positioned to the right. The date 1993 appears in the lower exergue, and the engraver's signature is incised along the lower rim.
