The P#112 series continued Banco Central de Honduras's long reliance on Crane Currency, which has supplied Honduran notes across multiple decades. Crane's Massachusetts operation — one of the oldest continuously operating specialty paper and security printers in the Western Hemisphere — produces the substrate and finished note as an integrated process, which is less common among central bank suppliers who often separate paper and print contracts.

For a 2022 issue, the security specification is notably lean. A watermark alone, with no mention of security thread, color-shifting ink, or microprinting, puts this note behind the curve for a denomination of this value.
