| Reverse description | The reverse presents conjoined busts of Doina and Ion Aldea-Teodorovici in left-facing profile relief, rendered in a soft, sculptural style against a deeply mirrored field. The two figures are depicted in intimate proximity, evoking the celebrated Moldovan musical duo. The surrounding legend DOINA ȘI ION ALDEA-TEODOROVICI arcs along the upper periphery, while the phrase DOUĂ INIMI GEMENE — meaning 'Two Twin Hearts' — is inscribed along the lower border, both in raised Latin lettering. |

| Additional information |
Doina and Ion Aldea-Teodorovici were Moldovan singer-songwriters whose music became inseparable from the republic's independence movement of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Both died in a car accident in Romania in October 1992, less than a year after Moldovan independence was formally recognized — a loss that accelerated their canonization as national cultural figures. This commemorative was issued on the eighteenth anniversary of their deaths.
