Obverse description Central vignette of a red Dacia 1300 sedan rendered in full colour against a multicolour guilloche underprint of interlocking geometric patterns in blue, red, and yellow — evoking the Romanian tricolour. A circular UAP eagle emblem appears within a diamond-shaped guilloche medallion to the right of the car, with the BFR monogram cartouche above it and a small Romanian tricolour flag accent. The denomination "100 LEI" is printed in the lower-left corner within a circular frame, the inscription "UNA SUTA LEI" appears across the centre, and the legend "DACIA 1300" runs along the lower portion; a secondary thumbnail vignette of the Dacia 1300 is placed in the lower-right corner, with the designer's name "Dani Crisan" in script below the main vignette.

Reverse description The central field is dominated by a large photographic-style greyscale vignette of the Dacia 1300 interior dashboard and steering wheel, overlaid with a vibrant multicolour guilloche underprint in yellow, blue, and green. A diamond-shaped inset to the left carries a full-colour image of the red Dacia 1300 sedan with the production years "1969" and "1984" inscribed above and below it respectively. The UAP eagle emblem appears in the lower-right area, the BFR monogram is placed in the upper-right zone, and the denomination numeral "100" is printed in the lower-left corner; the vertical left border carries the full issuer legend "BANCA FANTEZISTĂ A ROMÂNIEI" reading upward.

Comments

Fantasy notes occupy a peculiar niche — neither forgeries nor games, but deliberate parallel currencies that comment on the real thing. The BFR series, designed by Dani Crisan, centers on the Dacia 1300, the Romanian-built sedan that rolled off the Pitești assembly line from 1969 onward under a Renault 12 licensing agreement that Ceaușescu rebranded as a homegrown industrial triumph. The car became inseparable from late socialist Romania's self-image.

The watermark inclusion on a privately issued fantasy piece is an unusual production choice — more effort than most such items bother with.
