Obverse description A seated allegorical female figure in Romanian national costume occupies the left portion of the note, rendered in fine intaglio engraving against a landscape vignette at centre. Four large circular guilloche watermark windows are positioned at the corners, while the denomination "UNA SUTA LEI" appears in bold letterpress across the lower margin. The bank title, date, and two manuscript signatures for the Governor and Central Cashier are set within a central panel framed by an elaborate ornamental border.

Reverse description The centre of the reverse is dominated by the Romanian royal coat of arms with crown above, flanked by the denomination numeral "100" on either side, all set within an intricate guilloche underprint of interlaced geometric patterns. The inscriptions "ROMANIA" appear in rectangular cartouches at left and right, and four large circular guilloche medallions occupy the corners. A counterfeiting warning text runs along the lower margin in small letterpress.
