| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Abdülhamid II, rendered in raised relief against a finely granulated inner field. The tughra is surrounded by a beaded inner border and a decorative band of alternating star-and-dot motifs. An outer border carries multi-line Arabic inscriptions running continuously around the periphery, with additional legend panels in the lower field. The overall design follows the traditional Ottoman gold coinage style, with the regnal year appearing below the tughra. |
