Reverse description Central field presents a bold high-relief sculpted figure of a water polo player surging upward with one arm fully extended overhead, releasing a ball that appears in the upper right of the field. The Croatian coat of arms — the characteristic red-and-white chequered shield surmounted by a crown of five historical shields — is depicted at the top centre. The inscription 'VATERPOLO' (Water Polo) is positioned vertically along the left inner border, while the curved legend 'OLIMPIJSKE IGRE ATLANTA 1996.' (Olympic Games Atlanta 1996) arcs along the lower periphery. The mint mark 'KH' (Hrvatska kovnica novca) appears in the lower central field.
