Obverse description Printed in grey-black on white paper, the obverse centres on a cartouche with the denomination inscription "Sto kuna" in stylised script, flanked by two circular guilloche rosettes each carrying the numeral "100". To the right, an intaglio vignette presents a heraldic eagle with a floral motif, while the issuer legend "HRVATSKA DRŽAVNA BANKA" runs along the upper border. The place and date of issue "Zagreb 1. Rujna 1943" appear in the lower central field, accompanied by the manuscript signatures of the Predsjednik and Potpredsjednik.

Reverse description The reverse is rendered in violet-purple tones over a central lozenge-shaped guilloche underprint, within which an intaglio vignette portrays a woman in traditional Croatian folk costume seated with a child and holding a basket of fruit. The numeral "100" appears to each side of the central vignette, with the denomination inscriptions "STO KUNA" and "100 KUNA" lettered in the lower left and lower right fields respectively. The printer's imprint "LEIPZIG · GIESECKE & DEVRIENT · BERLIN" is placed along the bottom margin.
