| Additional information |
Issued in the final months of Czechoslovakia's existence before the Velvet Divorce took effect on January 1, 1993, this piece is one of the last commemorative silver strikes authorized by the Czechoslovak State Bank before the institution itself was dissolved and replaced by separate Czech and Slovak central banks. The Moravian Museum in Brno, founded in 1817, is the second-largest museum in the Czech Republic and one of the oldest in Central Europe — the commemorative occasion marking its 175th anniversary.
