Issued as part of Czechoslovakia's long-running commemorative silver program, this piece marks the 150th anniversary of Dvořák's birth. It was among the final commemorative issues before the federation's dissolution at the end of 1992 — the mint at Kremnica would continue operating under Slovak authority, while a new Czech facility was established at Jablonec nad Nisou.
