| Obverse description | Central field features an allegorical still life composition of classical and martial attributes rendered in high relief, including a Corinthian helmet, a chariot wheel, a lyre, a quiver with arrows, and architectural elements, evoking the epic themes of the Aeneid. The Ukrainian state trident (tryzub) coat of arms appears prominently above the central design, flanked by the date 1998. The legend УКРАЇНА arcs along the upper rim in bold Cyrillic characters. The denomination 100 ГРИВЕНЬ is inscribed in large numerals along the lower field, with the fineness and weight indicators Au 900 and 15.55 appearing in the lower left and right of the central design respectively. |

| Reverse description | Central design depicts a seated figure of Aeneas rendered in high relief, cross-legged atop a classical Ionic column base, playing a bandura (Ukrainian folk stringed instrument), symbolising the Ukrainian literary adaptation of the Virgilian epic by Ivan Kotliarevsky. To the left stands a male figure in traditional Cossack attire, and to the right a female figure in Ukrainian folk dress, both flanking the central scene. A sailing vessel in the background left alludes to the epic voyage narrative, while a windmill appears to the right. The title «ЕНЕЇДА» arcs along the upper rim in Cyrillic, and the inscriptions І. КОТЛЯРЕВСЬКОГО / 200 / РОКІВ appear in the lower field, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the poem's publication. |
