Dense guilloche rosettes occupy the four corners, with the denomination numeral 100 repeated at all four corners and the value inscription at the base; the printer's imprint of De La Rue appears in small text at the bottom margin. |

The Banco del Paraguay was established in 1941 as a state institution to replace the Banco de la República, itself a mixed public-private body. This note belongs to the early issues of that new bank's Departamento Monetário — a transitional arrangement before Paraguay developed more sophisticated central banking structures. De La Rue printed the series in London during wartime, which meant navigating wartime paper and shipping constraints; the quality of paper stock across the 1943 issues varies more than is typical for De La Rue work of the period.
The watermark is the sole security feature — modest even by 1943 standards.
