The motto LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by a beaded inner border. In the lower field, the denomination 100 GOURDES and the date 1971 are inscribed in bold characters, with the fineness mark 900 to the left and the mintmaster's initials IC to the right.
