| Obverse description | Fragment of Pauwels van Hillegaert`s painting: `Prince Frederik Hendrik and Count Ernst Casimir at the siege of `s-Hertogenbosch` (1629). Against a background of casemates and tent camps, Count Ernst Casimir of Nassau Dietz gives orders to a troop of soldiers as a true general. On the horizon we see the contours of `s-Hertogenbosch with the dominating cathedral. The plumes of smoke indicate that the city is under attack. |
