Obverse description Printed in brown, the obverse centres on a vignette of a seated woman wearing a wreath and holding a small statuette of Athena. The design follows the same compositional arrangement as P#44, with an overprint reading 'EMISSION 1943' or 'EMISSION 1944' applied in letterpress at the top centre. Denomination and place of issue appear in the lower portion of the note.

Reverse description Printed in brown and green, the reverse carries a central vignette of the Four Faces of the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara as rendered on the Bayon Temple at Angkor, Cambodia. The denomination and place of issue are inscribed in the surrounding text panels. The multicolour underprint provides contrast to the intaglio-style central motif.
Reverse lettering BANQUE DE L'INDOCHINE CENT 100 FRANCS NOUMÉA
(Translation: Bank of Indochina One Hundred Francs Noumea)
