Reverse description Three upright wheat ears, finely detailed with naturalistic rendering, dominate the central field of the reverse in a bold Art Deco composition. The denomination CENT FRANCS is inscribed in large spaced letters arching across the upper field, flanking the wheat ears to the left and right. The word ESSAI appears vertically along the right inner border, confirming the trial or essai status of the piece. The date 1929 is struck in the lower exergue, and two mint marks appear at the lower left and lower right of the field. A beaded border frames the entire design.
