Reverse description The reverse features the French Republican motto LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ rendered in a bold, stylised Art Nouveau-influenced typeface designed by Michel Durand-Mégret, arranged in three horizontal lines across the upper field. A decorative floral or torch motif separates the motto from the denomination 100 F, which is inscribed in large characters in the lower central field. The date 1989 appears in the lower exergue, flanked by mint marks. The word PIEFORT is inscribed vertically along the left inner rim.
