Obverse description Three giant elands (Taurotragus derbianus) depicted in left-facing profile, their long twisted horns overlapping dramatically across the central field in a dynamic, layered composition. Stylized savannah vegetation is rendered in low relief beneath the animals. The upper legend reads ETAT DU CAMEROUN with PAIX · TRAVAIL · PATRIE arching below it, while the bilingual legend PEACE · WORK · FATHERLAND curves along the lower left field. The legend BANQUE CENTRALE appears along the lower rim, and the engraver's signature G.B.L. BAZOR is inscribed to the right of the central motif.
