| Reverse description | The central field features the Gregorian date in large bold numerals within a plain inner circle, surmounted and supported by ornate fleur-de-lis and foliate decorative devices above and below. This inner circle is surrounded by an elaborate interlacing arabesque band of intricate geometric knotwork, rendered in high relief. The legend TUNISIE curves along the upper periphery within a raised arc, separated from the arabesque band. Mint marks appear discreetly in the lower field flanking the central motif. The entire design is enclosed by a milled border, reflecting the refined craftsmanship of the Monnaie de Paris. |
