| Obverse description | Laureate bust of King Louis-Philippe I facing left, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curling hair secured by a laurel wreath with a ribbon tie visible at the nape of the neck. The effigy is unclothed at the shoulder in the antique manner, consistent with the Neoclassical engraving style of Domard. The legend LOUIS PHILIPPE I curves along the left periphery and ROI DES FRANCAIS along the right, both within a beaded border. The engraver's signature DOMARD F. appears in the lower exergue beneath the bust. |
