Obverse description	Central field features a traditional outrigger canoe (pirogue) sailing on open water, with a large fish depicted below in the foreground, evoking the maritime and fishing heritage of the Comoro Islands. The word ESSAI appears to the right of the vessel in the field. Arabic legend arcs across the upper portion of the coin, reading 'بنك يا كمور' (Bank of the Comoros), while the French FAO motto 'AUGMENTONS LA PRODUCTION ALIMENTAIRE' curves along the lower periphery. The design is framed by a beaded border.
