Togo's authority to issue collector coinage is exercised through the Banque Centrale des États de l'Afrique de l'Ouest, yet these pieces bear no relation to the BCEAO's circulating currency program. They are produced entirely for the numismatic export market, typically by European minting contractors, and never circulate within Togo or any of the eight UEMOA member states.
