Obverse description The coat of arms of the Central African Republic is depicted centrally in the field, featuring a quartered shield with an elephant and a baobab tree in the upper quarters, a star and a hand holding a torch in the lower quarters, all flanked by two crossed national flags on staffs topped with spearheads. Above the shield, a rising sun with rays issues behind a scroll bearing the national motto ZO KWE ZO in the upper field. Below the arms, a decorative scroll cartouche bears the secondary mottos UNITE, DIGNITE, and TRAVAIL, with a medallion at its centre. The legend REPUBLIQUE CENTRAFRICAINE arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 100 FRANCS CFA is inscribed along the lower periphery, with two six-pointed stars flanking the arms on either side.
