| Obverse description | Three-dimensional sculptural representation of a naturalistically rendered red apple, executed in fine copper with applied full-color treatment across the entire surface. The skin of the apple displays subtle tonal variations ranging from deep crimson to lighter rose, faithfully replicating the appearance of a ripe fruit. A finely detailed gilt stem rises from the top of the apple, accompanied by a single relief-sculpted gilt leaf with clearly delineated veining. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN 100 FRANCS CFA 2025 S:N:016 is inscribed in small Latin characters curving around the upper cavity of the stem recess, serving as the primary inscription field on this unconventional sculptural issue. |

The BEAC's recent foray into large-format novelty copper issues has no monetary function — these pieces circulate nowhere and exist purely for the collector market, authorized under the issuing framework of member states including Cameroon, Chad, and the Central African Republic. The "Apple" designation places this squarely in a series of shaped or themed coppers that BEAC has licensed through third-party distributors, a practice accelerated sharply after 2015 as traditional commemorative silver markets softened.
