| Reverse description | Central design features a terrestrial globe from which emerge three botanical sprigs: an ear of wheat to the upper left, an olive branch to the upper right, and an oak branch below, symbolizing agricultural and civic virtues. The denomination 100 FRANCS is prominently displayed in the upper field, with the date 19 29 divided across the lower portion of the design. The composition is executed in a spare, geometric Art Deco style, with the exergue clearly delineated. |

The 100 francs Bazor was the product of a prolonged French monetary debate through the late 1920s over how to replace the badly debased franc coinage left in the wake of WWI financing. Marcel Bazor, chief engraver at the Monnaie de Paris from 1930, submitted this design ahead of his official appointment — the essai predates his tenure. The cupro-aluminium trial was one of several alloy tests conducted as France searched for a composition both cheap to produce and resistant to counterfeiting pressure.
The 100 franc denomination was never actually issued in this composition for circulation.
