| Obverse description | Blue intaglio on brown underprint, with a vignette of William Tell at left and a vignette of Tell's Chapel on Lake Vierwaldstätten at right. The trilingual bank name — in German, French, and Italian — appears across the face alongside the date "1 JANUAR 1918," three signature lines with role designations, and the designer's imprint "S. BALZER" with the printer's name at the lower margin; the initials T.W. and R.K. appear at lower left and lower right respectively. The denomination "100" is repeated in each corner within ornate cartouches. |
