| Obverse description | Central vignette in intaglio presents an allegorical group at left with two children among foliage, and at right a turbaned man seated with a camel, rendered in a fine engraved style. The denomination CENT FRANCS appears in large lettering at centre, beneath the bank title BANQUE DE L'ALGÉRIE, with the clause PAYABLES AU PORTEUR ET A VUE and a bilingual inscription in French and Arabic. Two blank octagonal watermark panels occupy the upper corners, and the panel border is composed of ornate guilloche work. |
