| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Niger occupies the central field, depicting a shield charged with a sun, a millet stalk, and a zebu head, flanked by two crossed spears on each side and supported by a scrolled banner bearing the legend REPUBLIQUE DU NIGER. The country name arcs along the upper rim in bold raised letters, with the date 2021 inscribed below it. The denomination 100 FRANCS CFA appears in two lines across the lower field. |

| Additional information |
This piece belongs to a long-running series of miniaturized gold reproductions issued under Niger's nominal authority — a licensing arrangement common among small-denomination sovereign issuers with no meaningful domestic coin circulation. Franz Joseph I ruled Austria-Hungary from 1848 until his death in 1916, and the 10 Corona type it references dates to the early twentieth century, produced in vast quantities as a trade coin. Niger's involvement is purely administrative; the dies and distribution originate entirely outside the country.
