| Obverse description | The official coat of arms of Hungary occupies the golden-toned bimetallic centre, depicting the quartered shield with the Árpád stripes on the dexter side and the apostolic double cross on a green mound on the sinister side, surmounted by the Holy Crown of Saint Stephen with its characteristic bent cross finial. The legend MAGYARORSZÁG (Hungary) curves around the outer ring, with the date flanked by two raised dots inscribed at the base of the ring. A fine beaded border runs along the inner edge of the ring. |
