| Obverse description | Within the inner disc, the emblem of the Hungarian Defence Forces is depicted centrally, featuring a turul — the mythical bird of prey of Hungarian tradition — displayed with wings spread and grasping the sword of Saint Stephen I of Hungary in its talons, superimposed over the Hungarian Defence Forces shield bearing heraldic hatching to indicate the national colours. The design extends from the centre into the outer ring. The motto of the Hungarian Defence Forces, A HAZÁÉRT (For the Homeland), appears in the inner field, while the circumscription MAGYARORSZÁG (Hungary) is inscribed at the top of the outer ring and 175 ÉVES A MAGYAR HONVÉDSÉG (175 Years of the Hungarian Defence Forces) at the bottom, all within a beaded border, with the date 2023 also present in the legend. |
