Obverse description The obverse features a bold, decorative graphic design set within a rectangular frame inscribed in the field. The legends MAGYAR NÉPKÖZTÁRSASÁG and 100 FORINT are rendered in a highly stylized, ornamental lettering that incorporates smiley-face motifs within the letterforms, creating a striking folk-art aesthetic. The date is split, with '19' appearing to the lower left and '85' to the lower right of the rectangular border. The Budapest mint mark 'BP' appears in a circular cartouche at the top of the coin, outside the frame, and a designer's monogram appears in a similar cartouche at the bottom.
