| Obverse description | Faithful rendition of a Visigothic tremissis of King Suintila, presented within a beaded inner circle against a plain field. The design reproduces the schematic obverse of the original early seventh-century gold tremissis, featuring a highly stylised frontal royal bust rendered in the primitive Visigothic die-cutting tradition, surrounded by the retrograde or archaic legend SVIHTHILA REX with cross motifs. The surrounding border carries the modern Spanish state inscription ESPAÑA, the date 2011, the Madrid mint mark M, and the denomination 100 EURO, all separated by a beaded rim. |

| Reverse description | Faithful reproduction of the reverse of the original Visigothic tremissis struck at the mint of Emerita Augusta (modern Mérida) under King Suintila. At centre, a highly schematic standing figure rendered in the characteristic angular Visigothic style occupies the field, surrounded by a circular arrangement of stylised letters and cross pattée ornaments within a beaded border. The legend EMERITAPIVS refers to the Emerita mint and the epithet Pius attributed to the king, faithfully replicating the abbreviated mint signature of the historical prototype. |
