| Obverse description | The obverse features a stylized ski jumping ramp rendered as a series of sweeping curved lines ascending from the lower left field, evoking both the takeoff structure and the aerodynamic lift of flight. Superimposed upon this abstract motif is the denomination '100 EURO' and the date '2010', along with the issuer inscription 'SLOVENIJA' in Latin lettering. The overall design is executed in a bold, modernist graphic style with clean lines against a mirror-polished proof field. |

Slovenia hosted the 2010 FIS Ski Jumping World Championships at Planica, the storied venue in the Julian Alps where the world's first 100-meter jump was recorded in 1936. The commemorative was authorized specifically to mark that event — one of the few times Slovenia's mint program aligned with a major international sporting championship held on home soil.
The .900 gold fineness places it in the older continental European standard rather than the fine gold used in most modern bullion issues, a deliberate nod to historical coinage practice.
